Paytm plans to launch messaging service to rival WhatsApp and Facebook by August end. It will allow the same service like WhatsApp to send Audio, Video, Pictures, and Text.

Paytm wants to attract people in India to use Messaging service. The company will convert its payment users to messaging and help businesses connect with consumers.

Paytm messaging service will allow the same service like WhatsApp to send Audio, Video, Pictures, and Text. Currently, there are more than 225 Million users of Paytm.

Earlier this year Indian messaging platform, Hike, it has introduced Hike Wallet for doing Electronic payments service.

E-payments in India surged after the country banned old high-value currency notes late last year. Firms like Paytm have since rapidly increased their market share.

Digital payments in India would jump nearly 10 times to $500 billion by 2020, according to a 2016 report by Boston Consulting Group.

Paytm’s advantage in getting the attraction for such services is also that it is among the few internet companies with the highest customer base in the country. WhatsApp has over 200 million monthly active users in India. Hike claims to have over 100 million users. Flipkart has over 100 million users.
